A meal keeps you full when it delivers two things: enough protein and enough fiber. Protein is the most satiating macronutrient — it suppresses ghrelin (the hormone that makes you hungry) and triggers CCK and GLP-1 (the hormones that tell your brain you've had enough). Fiber adds a second layer: it stretches the stomach wall, draws out the time food stays inside you, and triggers its own wave of fullness signals.
